Ingredients:

  • 1 scoop protein powder (Vanilla works well)
  • 2 egg
  • 80g flour (Self raising flour, Oat flour, buckwheat flour, wheat flour etc)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar or sweetener (negate this if your protein is already quite sweet!)
  • 3 tbsp apple sauce or 1 mashed banana
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • Dash of cinnamon & nutmeg
Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees C/ 400 degrees F
  2. Lightly grease your donut mould, I use a spray oil.
  3. ​Place the dry ingredients (flour, protein powder, baking powder, sugar, and spices) in a mixing bowl and mix together.
  4. Crack in the eggs and add the applesauce/ mashed banana. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Spoon the mix evenly into your donut mould, take care not to spill over the edges.
  6. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes. Be careful not to overcook as the texture can become rubbery and dry when cooking protein.
  7. Pop out of the mold and leave to cool.
