Ingredients:
- 1 scoop protein powder (Vanilla works well)
- 2 egg
- 80g flour (Self raising flour, Oat flour, buckwheat flour, wheat flour etc)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp sugar or sweetener (negate this if your protein is already quite sweet!)
- 3 tbsp apple sauce or 1 mashed banana
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- Dash of cinnamon & nutmeg
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees C/ 400 degrees F
- Lightly grease your donut mould, I use a spray oil.
- Place the dry ingredients (flour, protein powder, baking powder, sugar, and spices) in a mixing bowl and mix together.
- Crack in the eggs and add the applesauce/ mashed banana. Mix thoroughly.
- Spoon the mix evenly into your donut mould, take care not to spill over the edges.
- Bake in the oven for 10 minutes. Be careful not to overcook as the texture can become rubbery and dry when cooking protein.
- Pop out of the mold and leave to cool.
